On October 1st, you will upgrade to Knovel’s new platform. Upon your first visit, you will be prompted to log in with your existing user name and password. There will be instructions available at the log in screen if you need help. Knovel was completely rebuilt to ensure content is discoverable and the answers you find are actionable– easily integrating into your workflow. The user interface looks very different from what you use today, and we hope you’ll love it. The new platform has a support center with information available to address common questions. There you will also find tutorial videos for basic search, data search, My Knovel and interactive tools. Of course, Knovel’s customer support team is also available to help. LexisNexis Academic Dropbox and Google Translate enhancements

LexisNexis Academic announces a few new enhancements to Academic.

 

First, the Delivery to Dropbox enhancement has now been expanded to include document delivery to Google Drive. Users will click on the cloud delivery icon and select either Dropbox or Google Drive on the pop-up screen. Also, LexisNexis Academic now includes Google Translate functionality. Users will now see a drop-down box in results list and document view that will allow them to translate their results and documents into over 70 languages. It is also possible that you may experience service disruptions such as slower response times and unexpected outages throughout the day.

 

 

IEEE Xplore Digital Library - more new enhancements

IEEE is pleased to announce the latest enhancements to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Effective 19 June 2013, Forward Patent Citations (or "Cited By Patents") will now be available to IEEE Xplore subscribers.

The “cited by” tab on the IEEE Xplore article abstract page now includes U.S. and European patents that cite that particular article. You will also be able to view the full text of the patent via links to the USPTO website.

In addition, the search results page now shows a patent citation number for items that have been cited in patents. In addition you can sort your search results by the most cited in patents.

IEEE announces new enhancements to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library

 

Dear IEEE Xplore Subscriber,   IEEE is pleased to announce the latest enhancements to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library taking place on 10 May 2013. In this release, journal homepages and abstract pages will be redesigned and the new open access megajournal, IEEE Access, makes its debut in IEEE Xplore.    Journal Homepage Redesign   The IEEE Journal homepages have been redesigned to display more information about that particular title.   Home Tab: Displays top news, recently published, popular content, multi-media content for the journal, as well as Impact Factor, Eigenfactor, and Article Influence Score.  Popular Tab: Popular articles based on article views from the previous month. Current Issue Tab: Shows the articles within the current issue of the journal. Previous Issue Tab: Lists previous issues of the journal. About Journal Tab: Maintained by the editor, includes more information about the particular journal. Submit your Manuscript Tab: Option for an author to submit their manuscript or paper directly to the publication.     Document Abstract Page Redesign   Abstract pages for all content types will be redesigned to provide more information on the article level.
